The tooth fairy spoiled Geremu, I'm assuming it was because it was his first tooth. He received the book, My People, he LOVES it and a rat like punching balloon.

Excitment
For Christmas my parents gave us, Nick and I, a weekend away. They would watch the kids for a weekend and we could do what ever we wanted! The only stipulation was that it had to be cashed in before baseball season because my dad is a coach. So we packed the van on Friday night and headed to the opposite side of the state to cash in our gift.
We got the kids settled into my parents house on Friday night, then on Saturday morning headed out to get our weekend started. After swimming, snowshoeing and watching a movie I received a call from my Dad late in the afternoon. He told me that Geremu had some exciting news, then he put Geremu on the phone. While they were out at a basketball game Geremu lost his tooth! Geremu was excited to tell me but NO ONE was more excited then Cullen!
Cullen, in true Cullen fashion, went right back to my parents house after the game and made signs for the party (one of them read: Hey Tooth Fairy, Geremu is sleeping HERE!) and decorated with toilet paper in the heating vents (my mom made him move that to the furniture). My mom made brownies and they celebrated.

Bert and Ernie
When we were swimming today Cullen looks at Geremu and said "Geremu, you know, brown really looks good on you." Geremu looks at Cullen and says "Thanks Cullen." Then they continued swimming...
Tonight on the way to bed Cullen took his scholastic reader on Martin Luther King from this past week and he sat on the steps "reading" it to Geremu. I accidental stumbled upon the two of them, Cullen wasn't completely accurate (some explaining had to be done after) but it was pretty darn cute.
These two boys I have are two peas in a pod. Bert and Ernie I tell ya:)
I'd also like to put out a GO PACK GO, it seems so surreal that they are headed to the Super Bowl!

A Life Update
I haven't been good at updating the blog since 2011 arrived. I'm going to try and get back in a groove starting tomorrow with my life, we'll see how that goes. It has been COLD the last few days. My boys are outside boys, they usually spend a good portion of their free time outside...
Since the weather has been so cold I have made a point to make sure they are run everyday indoors. Thankfully we have a lot of options in our area; YMCA's, Library, Children's Museum, inflatable jump areas, etc. Today before heading out Geremu could be seen "shaking his tail feathers" (yep that's the feather-duster down his pants).
Immediately after eating dinner Cullen said, "I ate but I'm still hungry. What went wrong?" Um I'm not sure, but I can find lots of things that went wrong with the below get-up he wore to bed tonight...
I spy 3 different pj sets.

Fun with Family
This past weekend the cousins came to celebrate the holiday weekend. The kids had a great time together (I wish I had more good pictures). Cullen and Campbell were two peas in a pod.
One of these cousins is not as happy as the others:)
