Cullen didn't have any competition in the egg hunt but he did still manage to fall over in the quest for an egg (he gets his coordination from his father). After the egg hunt we went into the house to check out the loot. Imagine this, I'm all ready with my camera waiting for Cullen to open the first egg and out pops a cooked noodle?!? Ugh, how did that get in their? I put my camera down to examine the noodle and realized it was from last nights supper. I started to question my egg stuffing abilities. Cullen continued opening eggs and after a few more he said, "oh, two more noodles". I look up and sure enough more noodles were in the eggs. That's when I heard Colleen and my Mom laughing, I'm still trying to figure out who did it, they both looked pretty guilty. So needless to say I didn't get many pictures of Cullen opening his eggs because I was so busy trying to figure out how the noodles got into the eggs. Four of the twelve eggs contained noodles and Cullen ate every one of them, yummo! Now lets play a game, look carefully at the picture below and see if you can find some of the discolored noodles on the ground. This blogging thing sure is FUN, it's like a free Where's Waldo only with noodles!
After Easter we headed down to Des Moines to see Craig (Nick's brother), Britt and their (2 year old) twin daughters. They are expecting another little girl in about a month, very exciting news!!! Cullen enjoyed spending time with his cousins and he has asked to see Brynly and Campbell everyday since our return.
In other news, today my Uncle Tom offered to come to Africa with us because he has "so much" overseas driving experience. The good news is that I've heard Tom is really pretty good at dodging pedestrians while driving. The bad news is that if Ethiopia is anything like Zambia the pedestrians aren't the only thing he will need to dodge. I told him if he is really serious about coming he should have all of his neighbors let their dogs and any other animals they might have (goats, cows, chickens etc...) run/walk wild through the street and practice dodging them too.
