Silly Boys

The weather was beautiful today so the boys spent a little time making a snowman. Don't let the picture fool you the snowman was roughly 12-18" tall.

Cullen fell asleep with his "dreaming cap" on...

This morning Geremu woke up and told us he wet his bed. We were a little suspicious when his underwear were not even a little damp. Upon further inspection and crusties on his face we had to explain that he just drooled on his bed- LOL.

More of the same...

Back to Madison today...
I ran right into my parents when I first arrived, without ever calling them. It was cold and snowy the entire time but the sound of democracy still filled the air.

My friend Katie drove down with me, a move she may have been regretting later...

On the drive home I lost control of the car on an icy highway. Long story short, we were not hurt nor hit. Although I have no idea how other cars managed to avoid us as we spun along. We ended up in a ditch and I had to call a tow truck. I blame Scott Walker...

I was so happy to see a tow truck with blinking lights pull up. I was a little afraid someone would hit us in the ditch because of all the ice. There were two other cars across the road from us (headed south) in the ditch.

The Fight Goes On...

I headed back to Madison today. The biggest difference I noticed between this week and last was the walls are now pretty much completely covered with signs inside the capitol and the smell was a little more gym locker roomish. There was one wing where the stairwells are completely covered in moveon.org paperwork.

Below my good friend Michelle stands by

Bob La Follette and the WI-14.

It was another late night, but well worth our time...

I love to see little ones learning about democracy:)

Another One Bites the Dust...

There was a bit of loose tooth/overtired drama in our house tonight...

Geremu's tooth has been hanging by a thread. In fact, the other day I saw him trying to bite Cullen's butt, "to get my tooth out." If you recall that's how the first one fell out. He didn't want to lose another tooth because "I'm going to miss it." When all was said and done he was happy it was finally out and kept asking us if we were proud?

Super proud of you kid, way to face your fear and get it out! Soon you will find that you won't even miss it anymore.

A Day of Rest

Today was the first day since last Sunday that I have not rallied, I'm exhausted. So when the boys got up early this morning I needed a little more time to rest. They wanted a bath, I filled the tub and Nick bathed them. When he was done he told them to get dressed...
One of these things are not like the other.

This Is What Democracy Looks Like...

So today was the day the opposition was "going to be out in full force." They were seriously hard to notice because they were so out numbered.
I spent my morning sweating in the capitol and my afternoon outside. The atmosphere was everything I had hoped it would be.
I got to spend the day with good friends.
And met a few new people too, below is Billy with his brother.
I even shook Sarah Palin's hand- LOL.This past week has been a bit sleepless and stressful. Above all I'm so happy I am surrounded with amazing family and friends. I will keep fighting...
I realize I'm crossing the political line with some of the signs in the pictures, no political comments please. I'm blogging this because this blog is for my boys and I think someday they will look back at this time period and want to know more about it.
