House Havoc

To say that our house is a mess is an understatement. Nick is currently working on a remodeling job in the house. The dust from the drywall/construction is EVERYWHERE! At this point I'm not sure it's even worth cleaning the house again until the worst of the mess is over. Some of the new items for the room came packaged in Styrofoam, the boys realized today that they can karate-chop it into pieces. I could hear them laughing and having a good time in the garage. Little did I know that they would be covered in little balls and I would now have that to clean-up from everywhere they went today on top of all the dust...
We decided to add to the mess with pumpkin carving tonight.
The boys used marker to draw their designs on while I did the carving. Cullen started gagging as soon as he attempted to gut his pumpkin. To prevent him from making another mess (puking) I decided to put him in charge of picking up the dropped pumpkin seeds, it kept him busy.
Our finished pumpkins turned out wonderful. I love the smell of burning pumpkin when the candle inside gets so hot the top turns black.
I recently learned that my kids are HUGE fans of "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown"...
