It's that Time of Year...

The first thing Geremu said to me this morning when he looked out the window was, "Santa coming tonight?"

Cullen on the other hand gave me a, "Wow I know what happened, there's a winter storm, that means that spring is trapped!" Take note of the lovely curtains I was going to make for the window Cullen is standing next to when we first moved in our house (7 years ago).
It's still snowing pretty hard, "Mom how are we going to get spring back? How are we going to do this?"

Easter

We packed up...
Then headed out on the dusty trail after wearing the kids out swimming. We arrived at my cousins Erin's house and slept a little before the big Easter egg hunt this morning.
The boys loved it and have been talking about it since. They enjoyed seeing their cousins for a bit and I had a great time as well.
My kids looked like rookies compared to my cousins during the egg hunt. At one point Cullen stops looking for eggs and starts to tell Erin a story. Erin frantically says, "Cullen we will have time for stories later, you need to run and find some eggs now." Frank also chimed in with, "Cullen, I don't think you understand the urgency of the situation."
We also stopped by my grandparents on the way and had an awesome Easter meal with them and some more relatives. Good times!

Old Man Nick (Who's Cramping My Style)

I'd would have written a brilliant blog tonight but Nick needs the computer Ethernet cable in the condo. Apparently, he thinks watching a movie on Netflix should take precedents over important blog updates. Frankly, I feel like I'm stiffing my family and the few blog followers I have, I have a lot to say today and I know you want a bigger piece of me. I'm sorry people, this is all you get...
We started the day by coloring Easter eggs before heading to the pool.
Then headed out on a boat ride with some new friends to check out a fabulous restaurant.
The restaurant included a giant sandbox and fountains that entertained the kids to no end.
We came back in the early evening to spend some time down at the beach. Then headed to the pool to listen to a little music.

Highlight of the Day= Crab Catching

We started the day with an early swim.
The Opians headed to the beach while Cullen went lizard catching with Nick.
There was some sand playing...
and yoga.
Afternoon naps happened so the boys would be ready to go crab catching tonight.
Geremu got the first crab and let it go shortly after putting it in his bucket, he was pretty afraid of the crabs. Abinet and Cullen couldn't get enough of the crabs.
Cullen stayed out past 10 tonight catching crabs. After showing us the crabs he went back down to the beach to let them go. Cullen told us, "I didn't even cry when I let them go. I knew it was the right thing to do."

Ahhhhh, Cullen is growing up.

Happy Boys

We started with a little swimming.
Before moving on to catching lizards. The boys were so into it...
Including Nick
The Three Amigos
Nick told the boys he had a lizard but lost it.
Then he asked them for their help,
here are the results (insert high pitched squealing):
Abinet showed the boys a few things as far as soccer was concerned...
The boys showed Abinet a few tricks of their own...

True Love Looks Like...

This in the middle of the night.
We are down in Gulf Shores, AL for those that are wondering. The weather was beautiful today but a bit on the windy side this morning so we headed to the "Little Zoo that Could".
We came back to eat lunch and wrestle a little.
Then spent the afternoon and evening outside just playing.
As you can see the boys have kickin' tans going.
