Oktoberfest '08

Well chalk another successful Oktoberfest into the books. Plenty of brats to go around! We had a GREAT time in God's Country this weekend. This years attendance included; Granny Bird, Pop, Aunt Colleen, Erik, Curtis, Johnny and the neighbors. Geremu attended his first parade, he started out afraid of the bands (trying to run the opposite direction) but warmed up quickly after seeing how the other kids reacted to everything. Here are some pictures from today. I'll post more with stories later in the week.

Looking Forward to Halloween

On Friday I put out all of our Halloween decorations. Cullen and Geremu were on my heels helping the entire time. Cullen is so excited about Halloween and Geremu has no idea what he is excited about but he's still excited. Shortly after decorating I made dinner and Cullen informed me that he is "not eating until after trick-or-treating". I explained to him that he wouldn't be trick-or-treating for a few weeks... I thought he understood my explanation until we were headed to the grocery store later that night and he informed me that I forgot his magic dragon costume and we needed to turn around and get it. Needless to say, this is going to be a long few weeks, I think I put my decorations up a bit early this year.

On a different note tonight was the first time Geremu told me, "I love you" in English and I totally understood what he was saying (not me interpreting something he said as "I love you").

Lambeau Field

We spent a little time today with Beth, Pat and Erica in GB and had a great time. Stopped first at Lambeau to see Beth as she was getting done with work. She took us on a first class tour of the place. It was so much fun! The boys had a great time. Here are some pictures of that part of the afternoon.
Here is Geremu with Beth!
Boys in the rain checking out the field.
The boys loved watching the workers prep the field.
After leaving Lambeau we went to meet Erica's BF, he was just finishing up his shift at the fire house. When Cullen heard we would be stopping by the fire house he insisted on taking his fire outfit. We ended up getting the grand tour of the place and each boy left with a bag of goodies. They LOVED the fire station so much.
The boys were so excited that Dad got to reap the benefits of their enthusiasm.
Then it was off to Happy Joe's to meet Patrick, he even dressed up for us! Cullen was so excited to see Patrick. Both boys loved all the games and fun things to do while waiting for dinner.
Check out the taco pizza- YUMMO!!!
We are so lucky to have so many wonderful people in our lives.
I hope someday the boys realize just how lucky we are!
