Be My Valentine...

Two of my Valentine's cuddled together...

We really thought when we replaced the full bed in their room over a year ago with the twin bunk beds Cullen begged for that their nights of sleeping together were numbered. Most nights they start off in separate beds... And then end up together.

Some nights Cullen crawls in with Geremu after Gere has fallen asleep. Other nights, Gere crawls in with Cullen when he wakes up in the middle of the night.

I'm so glad they have each other- Happy Valentine's Day!

A Little More Fun In Titletown

Last night we headed back to Titletown, it started with a trip to the Pro Shop. It was not as crazy as Tuesday but still quite busy. The highlight of our visit was SURPRISING Patrick and helping him celebrate his 55th Birthday. Beth told us about her trip to the Super Bowl, it was fun hearing about and nice seeing some pictures. We had fun catching up and see our good friends, Mike and Katherine also made the trip. Unfortunately, I didn't remember my camera but perhaps I'll get a few pictures sent my direction (wink, wink Erica).
Today Geremu and I headed back to Titletown for the Firefighters Chili Cook-off. Curt's chili took 3rd place and we had a good time.

Geremu enjoyed trying putting on the get-up.

He did end up crumbling under the weight of the jacket.

The Return to Titletown

We got the kids (and neighbor Maddie) out of school a little early today so we could help celebrate the Lombardi trophy returning to Titletown.
One of my favorite memories= A few people came to the stadium in Bears jerseys, wherever they went the chant, "the Bears still suck" followed them. The kids would join in and I couldn't help but smile. I'm not even sure the kids ever chanted the correct thing, it was more what they were hearing the crowd say then what was actually being said, which made it even more priceless.
It was certainly a day to remember, the temps felt like -12 degrees when it started and they said to expect it to feel like -25 by the time it was over. We hot packed our mittens, boots and snow pants and were ready to roll.
The cold weather did not prevent us from having a good time! The chants around the stadium, especially during the TV/commercial breaks would have put chills on a body even if the temps were in the 80's+.

Geremu enjoyed cheering for his favorite player, Donald Driver.

This was the jumbo-tron view, what I imagine TV views also saw...
This was our view, if you look close Aaron Rogers is on the stage in the black coat, jeans and towel around his neck (between the two heaters)... The atmosphere was amazing, pictures and video will never do it justice. The kids were diggin' getting random high fives and cheering MVP, Go Pack Go, etc...
After the ceremony was a highlights video and firework show to music. It was really well orchestrated and fun to watch.
It was a late night but full of fun!
Thanks Katie for getting us the tickets. Maybe next year you will be able to join us for the fun:)

Go Pack Go!

I made the mistake of going to the grocery store in town yesterday and it was crazy busy. I talked with one of the employees and they told me that they are busier during the Super Bowl this year then they were during the holidays. I live in Packer Country and the grocery store had everything you can thinking for my green & gold party.
To get the boys excited we started the day off with Green Bay pancakes...
We are having a tailgating party that will begin shortly. The boys could not be more excited for our neighbors to come over...
I'm serving brats because I feel pressure to, I'm not really a meat person. In fact, I got laughted at today when I called one of my sisters and asked them how to prep the brats. Truth be told, I feared no one would come to my party if I deprived them of meat. On the menu we've got green and gold brat buns, golden (yellow) carrots, green peppers, green and gold jell-o, cup cakes, etc... You get the picture.
Set St. Patrick on your TV's tonight and pray for a Packer victory:)

Lucky Me

This morning Cullen came barreling into my room, waking me up to asks me if I was awake. Shortly after confirming that I was awake he ran downstairs to "get what he made me."
He made the meal all by himself and could not have been more proud. Cullen wanted to have "a party in bed" and party we did. He brought in all his stuff animals, blankets and pillows then he handed me...
the back massager. He looked at me, let me know that I could start eating, took his shirt off, turned his back to me and told me to rub it. AWESOME, where does this kid come up with this stuff.

101 Days of School

Today was a big day for Cullen, it was the 101st day of school. He had to dress up like a dalmatian to celebrate the day...

I'm certain that someday these pictures will come back to haunt him:)

I walked into the living room recently to a mess and was instructed to "Do NOT touch my nest!" Awesome, I was wondering what the cotton ball/toilet paper/Kleenex mix was.

Life has been busy and I can't believe it's already the second month of the year!
We are looking forward to the Super Bowl, Go Pack Go!

Tooth Fairy Visit

The tooth fairy spoiled Geremu, I'm assuming it was because it was his first tooth. He received the book, My People, he LOVES it and a rat like punching balloon.
Cullen could be found this morning slipping his hand under Geremu's pillow before Gere was awake "just to see if the fairy came." When Gere did wake up no one was more excited than Cullen that "the fairy came!"
